What do we offer?
Clare has drawn upon her background in teaching and counselling, alongside her passion for craft to create workshops which encourage you to develop your own creativity through the medium of wool.
Clare provides all the equipment necessary for the practices of blending, felting, spinning, knitting, and generally playing with wool. This creative exploration of fibres, textures and colours promotes creativity, fun and mindfulness in a very accessible way. Participants often leave Clare’s workshops feeling, relaxed, invigorated, nurtured and inspired.
‘Wool Therapy’ has been proven to:
- Reduce stress
- Promote calm
- Improve mood
- Improve motor skills
- Raise self-esteem
- Increase confidence
- Support community development
The aim of the workshops is to use wool as a tool to foster deeper connection with the authentic self and our natural desire to create, and express ourselves. Absolutely no experience is necessary.
Craft workshops last for three hours and usually take place on a Saturday morning. The cost of a craft workshop is £40 which includes all materials and refreshments.
A lovely informal class…A chance to relax and work with wool in a variety of ways. From blending your own colour mixture to wet felting and needle felting, spinning, pompom's, and God’s Eye’s there’s something for everyone. All the materials are provided and you can do anything you like. A great introduction into the wonderful, versatile, beautiful world of wool.
I was inspired by mixing all the colours of the wool fibres and also the great range of materials. Clare was a clear, accessible and fun teacher with a relaxed atmosphere.
