Clinical Hypnotherapy

What is Clinical Hypnotherapy?

Pete is the EDS Clinical Hypnotherapist, he offers solution focused, clinical hypnotherapy. Pete’s training enables him to draw on the most up to date, evidence based, hypnotherapy techniques to help you to achieve your goals.

Clinical Hypnotherapy shouldn’t be confused with stage hypnosis or media portrayals - there are no swinging pocket watches, dancing chickens or past life regressions!

Hypnotherapy is a safe, enjoyable, relaxing, and often fun experience. Pete’s approach is down to earth and empowering, rooted in the belief that all hypnosis is self hypnosis - this means that you always have complete control and will leave your sessions with all the tools you need to carry on your practice at home.

Hypnosis can help you with:
  • Confidence
  • Self-esteem
  • Motivation
  • Anxiety and panic
  • Public speaking
  • Exam nerves
  • Insomnia
  • Pain management
  • Worry and stress management
  • Phobias
  • Habit control

During a hypnotherapy session you will spend time talking with Pete, discussing your goals and the focus for your hypnotherapy. Pete will use this discussion to create a personalised approach to working with you in hypnosis.

The initial hypnotherapy session lasts for an hour and a half and costs £80, all subsequent sessions last for an hour and cost £60.

I was unsure what to expect from hypnotherapy, however I was keen to try a positive approach to tackling a lifelong phobia. Pete immediately made me feel at ease and created a relaxed environment in which to discuss my phobia from a number of perspectives, ultimately focussing on a final goal. Through simply explained, simple techniques, Pete helped me to become able to view my phobia in a new light. Armed with this new perspective I have since felt able, on multiple occasions, to face my fear head on. It is no exaggeration to say that hypnotherapy has changed my life.
